Do you need us to calculate the dimensional weight of your order?

With Shopfans-Express we can ship furniture, boats, snowboards, and even a tractor! But for these items there may be an extra fee for the dimensional weight – the dimensions that reflect the full size of the shipment, the volume that it holds, in relation to the actual weight. In fact, all packages have a volume that takes up space inside a transportation carrier (car, plane, etc.). The following formula is used for calculating dimensional weight:

Length (inches) * Height (inches) * Width (inches)/ 166 = pounds

IMPORTANT: We use a coefficient to calculate the surcharge for dimensional weight only if one of the sides is 36 inches or more. If the ratio between the dimensional weight and the actual weight exceeds 1.5, you will have to pay the regular weight tariff plus $6 for every pound over the actual weight multiplied by 1.5. For example: the actual weight is 15 lbs, dimensional weight is 60 lbs. The coefficient will be 60/15 = 4. The surcharge will be (60 – 15 * 1.5) * $6 = $225.

For Kazakhstan dimensional weight surcharge is calculated as:
Extra weight multiply by $7.
Extra weight = dimensional weight - actual weight.

Dimensional Weight is calculated as:
Length (inches) * Height (inches) * Width (inches)/ 175 = pounds.
For Australia dimensional weight surcharge is calculated as:
Extra weight multiply by $5.
